Just like each senior, each one of my senior portrait sessions is unique. The fun starts when we meet in person to discuss your shoot and plan all the little details. I like to learn a little bit about you, and your style, to ensure the shoot is geared towards your personality. We’ll work together to plan your outfits, accessories, style, and location, ensuring all the pieces of the puzzle are there to make the most of your portrait session.

What’s your first step?
Start gathering details. What are your hobbies and interests, and can we portray them in your senior portraits? What makes you an individual? Think about locations that have a special meaning or interest to you. Inside or outside or studio? Urban setting or natural setting? Think about what you’ll wear and accessories for your outfits. So many fun little details to think about!

When should you schedule your session?
Right now! In all seriousness though, my schedule does fill up fast. It’s never too early to start discussing ideas and get you in the calendar. You should decide which season of the year you’d like to shoot in. Do you want the soft pastels of spring, the golden glow of summer, or the warm oranges and reds of autumn? There is no wrong answer, but only you and your family can make that decision.

What happens after your portrait session?
Four to six weeks after your portrait session, I will have completed the creative editing process, and your photos will be ready for you to view. I will provide a link to your own personal online photo gallery. This link will remain up on my website for an extended amount of time. The private gallery is yours to view your photos and easily share the link with family and friends.

How do you receive your images?
You will receive your senior portraits in digital format, on a beautifully packaged photo disc, or on a custom-engraved flash drive for a small extra charge. Image resolution will allow for unlimited prints up to size 8×12, as well as for unlimited online sharing with your friends and family. While you are free to have your files printed anywhere you choose, you should know that not all photo printers are created equal! In fact, there is a huge range of quality. I will be happy to help point you in the right direction for the printing process, in order to see your photos printed at the intended quality.

What if you want prints larger than 8×12? I want a 16×20, 16×24, 20×30, 24×36…!
Of course, I highly encourage my clients to print their images, and print them large! Your photos are fun to share online, but the moment you print them, they become keepsake memories for years to come. I ask my clients to come to me for printing anything larger than the files they’ve been provided. This ensures that you will receive fantastic prints of fantastic images, and be very happy with the quality. Please view my print prices.
